I was just sitting with my breakfast - attempt of a reconstruction
The Otto Wagner Pavillon at Karlsplatz was the location for the third installation relating to the theme of the U5 in Vienna. The installation combines and makes reference to the previous works Sensationsfund im Untergrund and Netzvariante A-F. The first room is entered through the broken wooden panelling of the interior architecture of the pavilion. Inside a basement setting was recreated representing a prototype of a chaotic archive and a reference to Sensationsfund im Untergrund.
The second room in the center of the pavillion archived in ceiling high shelves approximately 6000 photographs of cellars from every district within the city of Vienna. Peter Bergs working room, entitled Frühstücksraum (breakfast room) was reconstructed in the last room and refers to the work Netzvariante A-F.
